Trauma Focused
Approaches.
Healing Is Not One-Size-Fits-All
Every person's experiences, nervous system, and healing journey are unique. Rather than relying on a single method, I tailor therapy to meet your individual needs, goals, and readiness. My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and grounded in evidence-based care that addresses both the emotional and physiological effects of trauma.
We Begin with Safety
Before processing trauma, we focus on creating a strong foundation. This may include developing coping skills, understanding how trauma affects the brain and nervous system, and building a therapeutic relationship where you feel safe, supported, and empowered.
We Process Trauma When You're Ready
Healing is never rushed. Once a foundation of safety has been established, we may incorporate trauma-processing approaches that help the brain and body resolve experiences that continue to feel overwhelming or unresolved.
EMDR
EMDR enables healing by facilitating the accessing and processing of traumatic memories and other adverse life experience to bring these to an adaptive resolution. After successful treatment, emotional distress is relieved, negative beliefs are reformulated, and physiological arousal is reduced.
BRAINSPOTTING
Brainspotting is a powerful, focused treatment method that works by identifying, processing and releasing core neurophysiological sources of emotional/body pain, trauma, dissociation and a variety of other challenging symptoms.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
CBT helps identify unhelpful thought patterns and develop practical strategies to reduce anxiety, improve emotional regulation, and create lasting behavioral change.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
DBT provides skills for managing intense emotions, improving relationships, increasing distress tolerance, and developing mindfulness in everyday life.
